PHN Data: Flat files

A flat file is a type of data storage format that organises information in a plain, unstructured text file. In a flat file, data are stored in a tabular form, with each line representing a record and individual data elements separated by delimiters, such as commas or tabs.

PHIDU data flat files comprise data structured by Broad topic, Topic, and Indicator where each row represents a geographic area. PHIDU data flat files are available for the following geographies:

  • Primary Health Networks (PHNs)
  • Higher structures - Greater Capital City Statistical Areas/Rest of States/NT; States/Territories; and Australia
  • Population Health Areas (PHAs) within PHNs
  • Local Government Areas (LGAs) with PHNs
