How do I use the mapping software?

What geographical structures and areas are the data available for?
Refer to the geographical structures section of the website. In addition, refer to the contents for the Social Health Atlases, which document the indicators available by geographical structure.
How do I find the code and/or name of a Population Health Area?
To find the code and/or name of a Population Health Area, refer to the full list of Population Health Areas (including Statistical Areas Level 2 (SA2)). In addition, to search for a suburb and determine which PHAs this suburb falls into and what percentage of the suburb's population is in a PHA, refer to the suburb to PHA correspondence (xls).
When are new data released?
Data release largely depends on their availability. For example, the ABS Census is held 5-yearly; the National Health Survey is held 3-yearly; and other data (e.g., Income support) are generally available for update annually. How do I access the notes and sources for the Social Health Atlases?
Each data indicator includes detailed notes and sources - or metadata. There are several ways of accessing these - refer to the accessing the notes on the data section of the website for an overview.
